The Driving Skills Standards Committee (J3300) is establishing consistent, globally-recognizable driving skill certification standards. The Committee has over 60 participants representing 30 OEMs, suppliers, other automotive-related organizations.
This completely new, global, multi-level driving skill certification process spans the spectrum from very basic to extremely advanced levels, as well as for specialty applications such as trailer towing, winter driving, and operators of automated vehicles.
The standards can apply to basically anyone who drives or operates a vehicle, whether it be for test driving on proving grounds, operating fleet vehicles on public roads, or teen drivers.
Attendees at the WCX 2023 will be able to see and participate in a simulation of the SAE J3300 driver certification test.
